The Beloit Sky Carp are back with another reading program! See the attached letter and reading log for more information. The letter and reading log may also be found under Parent Information-Riverview's Newsletter. Poopsie also made a surprise visit at school today to kick off the program.
Our scheduled game to attend is Saturday, May 10 at 1:05 PM. We will even have a chance to parade around on the field before the game! You won't want to miss out on this opportunity!

Starting Monday, March 10th, Riverview's Third and Fourth Grade students will be taking the Illinois Assessment of Readiness. The IAR test measures a student’s general Math and English/Language Arts skills. If you child is absent, he/she will take the test on the Make-up days which are March 17th- March 21st. Please make sure the your child gets a good night sleep; eats a healthy breakfast; and is on time for school.

South Beloit Food Pantry will be Wednesday, March 19th from 4:00PM- 6:00PM at Blackhawk Elementary. Pantry is for ALL families in South Beloit. When school district is closed because of weather conditions the pantry will be closed. SOBO food pantry is completely free and open to the community. Food will be distributed on a first come, first served basis.

Help Support Riverview’s Fundraiser at Pizza Ranch, 4797 Bluestem Rd, Roscoe, IL. When: March 5th; Time: 4:00-7:00 pm
Riverview staff and teachers will be busing your tables; 10% of all profits & all tips will go to Riverview. The funds that are raised will be used for class field trips this school year!

There will be No School Monday, March 3rd for observance of Casmir Pulaski Day. Casimir Pulaski Day is a legal holiday in Illinois. It celebrates the birthday of Pulaski, a Polish-born soldier who made a significant contribution to American independence. Chicago is known for its large population of Polish immigrants who came to the United States during the 19th century.

Spring is Monday, March 24th - Friday, March 28th. Have a safe and enjoyable break! See everyone back on Monday, March 31st.

Congratulations to all our students for working hard for the third quarter. We welcome you to help us celebrate our students' citizenship, creativity, and academics on Thursday, April 3rd. 3rd Grade will be at 8:15; 4th Grade at 9:00; and 2nd Grade at 9:45.
