On Wednesday, February 12th, Students and families are invited to an interactive evening of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math Night hosted by the Discovery Center! This is a FREE EVENT! Discover the fun of STEM through hands-on activities and experiments for the whole family on Wednesday, February 12th, from 4:30-6:00 pm. Come out and join the fun!

Riverview's Student Council members known that Riverview students show kindness every day! During this special spirit week, February 17th - February 21st, we can choose to participate in our Kindness Dress-Up Days.
Monday (Feb. 17th): Wear a kindness shirt or blue, since kindness is cool!
Tuesday (Feb. 18th): Wear your favorite sports team apparel! We show kindness
together as a team!
Wednesday (Feb. 19th): Wear neon and let’s have our kindness shine bright!
Thursday (Feb. 20th): Rock your crazy hair or Socks!
Friday (Feb. 21st): Time to get comfy! Wear your pajamas!

South Beloit Food Pantry will be Wednesday, February 19th from 4:00PM- 6:00PM at Blackhawk Elementary. Pantry is for ALL families in South Beloit. When school district is closed because of weather conditions the pantry will be closed. SOBO food pantry is completely free and open to the community. Food will be distributed on a first come, first served basis.

There will be No School Monday, March 3rd for observance of Casmir Pulaski Day. Casimir Pulaski Day is a legal holiday in Illinois. It celebrates the birthday of Pulaski, a Polish-born soldier who made a significant contribution to American independence. Chicago is known for its large population of Polish immigrants who came to the United States during the 19th century.

Starting Monday, March 10th, Riverview's Third and Fourth Grade students will be taking the Illinois Assessment of Readiness. The IAR test measures a student’s general Math and English/Language Arts skills. If you child is absent, he/she will take the test on the Make-up days which are March 17th- March 21st. Please make sure the your child gets a good night sleep; eats a healthy breakfast; and is on time for school.
